Part-Time | ~15 Hours/Week About the Role The 10th House is looking for an energetic, highly relational Community Manager to serve as the face, eyes, and ears of our member community. This is not a behind-the-scenes community operations role. We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves people: learning their stories, understanding what they’re building, connecting them with the right people and resources, and creating opportunities for meaningful relationships to form. You’ll build real relationships with our founders through 1:1 conversations, community discussions, small-group gatherings, local events, and thoughtful introductions. You’ll also be our closest connection to what members are experiencing, ensuring their feedback, needs, challenges, and ideas are consistently brought back to the broader team. The right person is warm, energetic, curious, proactive, and an exceptional connector. You understand the realities of building a company and can comfortably have conversations with founders across stages and industries. Bonus: You’ve founded a company yourself, raised capital, supported a fundraising process, or otherwise have firsthand experience with the founder journey. What You’ll Own Member Relationships & High-Touch Experience ● Be a highly visible, approachable presence across The 10th House community. ● Regularly connect 1:1 with members to understand what they’re building, what they need, and how we can better support them. ● Jump on member calls to gather feedback, deepen relationships, and identify opportunities for connection. ● Proactively introduce members who should know one another based on their businesses, goals, challenges, or expertise. ● Identify members who may need additional support or who have become less engaged and personally reach out. ● Make members feel known, connected, and genuinely part of the community. Community Engagement ● Be an active daily presence inside Circle, starting conversations, commenting, connecting members, and sharing relevant resources. ● Keep a pulse on community activity and proactively identify opportunities to increase participation. ● Facilitate thoughtful conversations around the real challenges founders are navigating. ● Surface member wins, questions, needs, and expertise so the community can support one another. ● Help ensure there is a continuous rhythm of valuable activity and connection within the community. ● Manage and grow key member-facing resources, including the weekly digest, newsletter, resource library, and job board Community Programming & Connection ● Organize and facilitate City Sessions, Member Conversations, Huddles, and other high-touch community experiences. ● Create opportunities for members to meet and build relationships in smaller, more meaningful settings. ● Facilitate conversations rather than simply coordinating logistics, helping members feel comfortable participating and connecting. ● Identify opportunities for new gatherings, conversations, or resources based on what you’re hearing directly from members. ● Own end to end event promotion with support of social + marketing teams ● FFD: Support in-kind gift bag donation experience alongside Head of Community, source and coordinate in-kind food and beverage donations, lead merchandise sourcing and procurement. Community Leaders & Ambassadors Serve as the primary point person for our: ● Chapter Leads ● Huddle Leaders ● Brand Ambassadors ● Referral Members Build strong relationships with these members, provide them with what they need to be successful, maintain regular communication, and ensure these programs feel connected to the broader community experience. Voice of the Member ● Serve as the bridge between our members and the internal team. ● Consistently gather qualitative feedback through conversations, Circle activity, events, and member interactions. ● Identify recurring themes, needs, frustrations, and opportunities. ● Bring clear member insights back to the team so they can inform programming, resources, product decisions, and the overall membership experience. ● Ensure important member conversations, feedback, connections, and engagement are documented in our Community Dashboard so the team has a clear picture of each member’s experience. Who You Are You are someone who: ● Loves connecting people. When you meet someone, you immediately start thinking about who they should know. ● Understand founders. You’re comfortable talking about fundraising, growth, hiring, leadership, burnout, pivots, and the realities of building a business. ● Builds relationships naturally. You’re warm, curious, engaging, and genuinely interested in people. ● Brings energy. You’re comfortable being a visible personality within a community and creating momentum around you. ● Is an excellent facilitator. You know how to bring people into conversations and create an environment where meaningful relationships can develop. ● Listens closely. You pick up on what people are saying, what they aren't saying, and where we could better support them. ● Takes initiative. You don't wait for someone to tell you which member needs attention or which conversation should happen. ● Is highly organized. You can build deeply personal relationships while still ensuring interactions, feedback, and follow-ups are documented. ● Believes community is about relationships, not simply engagement metrics. Experience We're Looking For ● Experience in community management, founder communities, startups, venture, accelerators, membership organizations, or another highly relationship-driven environment. ● Strong understanding of the founder journey and the challenges entrepreneurs face. ● Experience facilitating groups, events, conversations, or peer communities. ● Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. ● Comfortable building relationships with senior founders and executives. ● Comfortable working independently in a part-time, highly accountable role. ● Experience with Circle or another online community platform is helpful but not required. ● Bonus: Founder experience or firsthand exposure to fundraising, venture capital, accelerators, or startup financing. Time Commitment Approximately 15 hours per week. Because this is a member-facing role, those hours will include a combination of proactive community engagement, 1:1 member conversations, community gatherings, relationship building, documentation, and coordination with the internal team. Success in this role isn't measured by how many tasks you complete. It's measured by whether our members feel known, connected, supported, and excited to participate in The 10th House.
